GBE PTA generously contributes annually to GBE

Many of our funds come from local and national businesses.

Here are some fundraising ideas you can participate in without getting out of your chair, opening your check book or getting those annoying bits of paper in your Friday folder:

	Save your Box Tops from well known brands of food to gain valuable funds for the school. Click the link on the left to see more ways Box Tops can help GBE.
	Sign up at your local Giant. Designate Greenbriar East ES as your chosen school. Every time you shop at Giant and present your Bonus Card, GBE will receive a percentage for every dollar you spend.
	Sign up at your local Safeway. Just designate GBE as your chosen school and use your Bonus card everytime you shop. GBE will receive a percentage for every dollar you spend.
	Just click on the target picture (left) or go to www.target.com/tcoe. Designate GBE as your chosen school. GBE will receive 1% of every purchase you make using your Target RedCard.

The No Fuss Fundraiser

The Greenbriar East No-Fuss Fundraiser is one way the GBE PTA meets our goals for our students. PTA Fundraising is an essential part of assisting the school to provide a top quality educational environment for our students and teachers each year. We have had good support from our families and staff with our no-fuss Fundraiser in past few years and would like to offer that option again.

With your help and donations, the PTA provides funds for many things that support our teachers and students at Greenbriar East Elementary School to include:

Paying for the buses for many field trips
Provide funding for new books to enhance the library
Offer classroom teachers a grant for additional classroom materials
Purchase technology (like smart boards) for the classrooms
Support our cultural arts program, Grace Arts in the Schools
Bring in outside speakers both for motivation and to support the curriculum
Host fun community activities and staff appreciation functions
Provide financial assistance with landscaping
Sponsoring in house field trips
Providing a sandwich to children who forget to bring money or a lunch
Student behavior incentive program

100% of your contribution is tax-deductible and goes directly to benefit the school.

This is going to be a great year at GBE. Our No-Fuss Fundraiser will be a great start to funding our overall PTA budget for 2010-2011. The PTA will also be conducting events such as Spirit Wear sales, Fall Yankee Candle Sale, Restaurant Nights at local restaurants, Book Fair, Spring Carnival, Silent Auction and Fun Run.

Supporting our community and showing school spirit is a consistent theme with our PTA fundraising events. Please look out for more information on these and other opportunities in the future.
